New Barcelona signing Pierre-EmerickAubameyang wrote his name in the history books after becoming the first player to score a hat-trick in the top flight league in France, Germany, Italy and Spain on the back of his hat-trick during the Spanish La Liga clash with hosts Valencia at the weekend. Aubameyang was able to celebrate the occasion of his first Barcelona start in the league with three goals at the expense of Los Che who could not cope with the quality shown by the Gabonese international skipper.
Arsenal manager made the decision to strip Aubameyang of his duties as the captain on the back of several disciplinary cases and the striker was dropped from the squad altogether. In the end, a move away from Arsenal turned out to be the best thing for all the parties involved.
Aubameyangmade his Barcelona debut during the recent 4-2 win at home to Atletico Madrid as a second half substitute for AdamaTraore and he has now played four games in total for his new team in all competitions with three of those games coming in the league.
He had been a substitute in the last two league games before Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez gave him a start in the Spanish La Liga for the first time and he responded with three goals in the 4-1 away win over Valencia. Aubameyang had earlier scored three goals at the same venue (Mestalla) and against the same opposition Valencia in the colours of Arsenal in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final tie at the end of the 2018/19 season.
