Barcelona Manager in High Spirits

 
After guiding their team to a 0-1 victory over Real Madrid in midweek at the Santiago Bernabeu, Barcelona is in good spirits. Aside from that, there is no reason to be concerned about the squad. It gave them an early advantage in the first of two Copa Del Rey semi-final matches, with the second match to take place a month later. They must, however, now concentrate on La Liga, where Valencia awaits them.

Barcelona Takes on Inter City in Copa Del Rey

Barcelona could not advance much in the debut game that they played recently in the Copa del Rey tournament. They needed extra time in which they finally defeated the third-division club of Intercity with a score of 4-3. The winning goal for them was scored by Ansu Fati. Thishappened in the Wednesday evening match and the 104th minute. By then Catalan club had relinquished the lead for thethirdtime. The score was at that time 3-3.

Oriol Solde was the one who scored the hat trick for the host side. The game was taking place in Alicante, a city in the southeastern part of Spain. Xavi does not expect busy January window at Barcelona

 

Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez does not expect a huge deal of activity in the transfer market for the Catalan outfit. The squad has kept the manager completely satisfied according to the latest press conference. Barcelona spent a huge sum of money during the summer transfer window. Despite the financial difficulties at the club, it was surprising the money spent by the Catalan outfit in bringing players like Robert Lewandowski and Christensen to the club in the summer. Apart from bringing players on a free transfer, Barcelona were also able to financial muscle for signing players like Jules Kounde by being extravagant transfer fees.

As a result of the substantial strengthening that the club did in the summer transfer window,Xavi has been able to keep the club on the boil when it comes to the La Liga title race. Barcelona Eyes Two New Talents for Upcoming Year

Barcelona eyes two Girona players in the upcoming transfer window. These are Arnau Martinez and Aleix Garcia. The latter is a midfielder, 25 years of age while Arnau is a defender whose skills are already popular, though he is only 19 years of age. Garcia is up for transfer since he has been playing for Girona since 2020 summer. Among his achievements are his performances for Manchester City. He was a central midfielder for them between the period of 2015 to 2020. Though he only made nine appearances for the senior side, he has been able to make an impression during this time.


He assisted a total of three times across 14 games, with Michel as his manager. On the other hand, Martinez was his teammate who came from the young players at Barcelona. This 19-year-old player is one of the finest among Spain’s right-backs. He would be a good solution for the right flank of the Barcelona team. JOURNALIST CONFIRMS INTENSIVE TALKS ON AUBAMEYANG

Renowned English journalist David Ornstein has confirmed that intensive talks between Premier League side Chelsea and Barcelona continue for Gabonese star Pierre-EmerickAubameyang. The former Arsenal striker is the subject of a strong interest from Chelsea who are looking to bolster their attack before the end of the Premier League transfer window on Thursday. Ornstein gave an update on Aubameyang via his official Twitter account on Wednesday morning. The Athletic journalist also said a loan move to Chelsea is also a possibility for Aubameyang.

Aubameyang, 33, has spent just six months at Barcelona following his transfer to the club as a free agent in January after his contract with the Gunners was terminated. The African star scored 11 goals for Barcelona in all competitions during the second half of last season as he helped the Catalan giants recover from an average start to finish second on the final La Liga table.             BARCELONA HAVE REPORTEDLY MADE ENQUIRY ABOUT SIGNING VANDERSON

According to SPORT, Barcelona have set their sights on a potential move for AS Monaco right-back Vanderson and have lodged an enquiry with the Ligue 1 outfit about a transfer this summer. Vanderson came through the ranks at Brazilian club Gremio and made close to 60 first-team appearances before signing for Monaco in January earlier this year. Since arriving in Europe, the 21-year-old has featured 26 times for the Principality club, bagging two goals and three assists.

Vanderson has stood out for his attacking intent from the full-back position, pace and strong physique. And his performances have prompted Deco, who operates as a scout for Barcelona, to point the club in the direction of the 21-year-old, as they look for reinforcements in the right-back slot. BARCA FAIL TO WIN PRE-SEASON GAME

Spanish La Liga Barcelonafailed to win a pre-season game for the first time this summer after they were pegged back twice in a 2-2 draw with Italian Serie A side Juventus. Barcelona had a perfect pre-season record before the game against the Italians, but they could not continue the record after it ended in a score draw.

Frenchman Ousmane Dembele has been in good form during pre-season and he was responsible for the first goal of the game in the colours of Barcelona. The ex-Borussia Dortmund star scored a stunning goal on 34 minutes for the openeroff the assist from American international SerginoDestbefore it was cancelledout by Italian striker Moise Kean five minutes later.Almost immediately, Barcelona regained the lead with the outstanding Dembele having received a pass from Club skipper Sergio Busquets. Around a minute separated the Juventus equaliser and the second Barcelona goal from Dembele. The second Dembele goal gave Barcelona a 2-1 advantage at the end of the first 45 minutes.
